Bathroom Staging Tips

bathroom staging tips

Although bathrooms are small in stature they are large in impression, especially if they’re not clean! These tiny rooms can pack a powerful punch of negatives: odor, mildew and mold, clutter, leaks … you get the picture. Along with keeping your staged bathroom spotless, it’s a great idea to check this list of musts:

  • Control the clutter. Utilize decorative bins (plastic or canvas) for daily use items that are typically left out on the counter or in the shower. Clean out bathroom drawers and cabinets of 50% of their contents.
  • Cleaning products (including spray air fresheners, plungers, toilet bowl brushes) should be kept under the counter.
  • Make sure your faucets are not dripping! And if they’re looking out of style or beyond repair, the best solution is to replace them.
  • Replace older bath bar light fixtures.
  • Reglaze chipped or worn tubs and sinks if you can’t afford to replace them.
  • Frame out your “plain vanilla” bathroom mirror with a product called MirrorMate Frames. This product installs in minutes and comes in a wide variety of styles and colors.
  • Your finishing touches include plain white towels, minimal decorative accessories (a live orchid is always perfect), and new bath rugs. In the master bathroom kick it up a notch with large decorative candles on the tub deck or a glass canister filled with soaps or bath salts.
